What is the STEAM Lending Library?
The goal for this new program is to spark students’ interest in S.T.E.A.M. related curriculum, so they are better prepared to take on the jobs of tomorrow – competing against students from more affluent schools.
The Education Partnership’s STEAM lending library equips the teachers in our program with classroom kits of ready-to-use, hands-on resources needed to teach lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Partner teachers are encouraged to borrow STEAM kits, use them in the classroom for a month, and then return them so someone else can borrow them. Our library currently holds 80 kits worth approximately $30,000.
Funded in part by The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, this library is also supported by other donors including The Pittsburgh Foundation Fisher Fund, The Pittsburgh Foundation WishBook, and the Grable Foundation.
Any teacher from one of our partner schools is able to borrow a kit from the library. To access the STEAM Lending Library, teachers should log on to the Teacher Login page below where a link to the lending library can be found. Please contact Cat@TheEducationPartnership.org with any questions.
