Her area of specialization was in STEM education, with a particular focus on maker spaces. Julie spent the last 4 years of her career teaching robotics, coding, 3D printing, electronics, and laser engraving to 7th and 8th grade Tech Ed students at Mellon Middle School. Outside of the classroom, Julie continues to serve as a board member for Matt’s Maker Space, an organization that supports the integration of maker spaces into schools and communities.
Build an automated walking inchworm using the MicroBit Inventors kit. With a little creativity and simple programming logic, educators will have hands-on experience with the easy-to-use MicroBit.
