The Education Partnership has a new executive director.

Josh Whiteside of Mt. Washington will succeed Justin Brown, who founded the teacher resource center and affiliate of The Kids in Need Foundation in 2009. The Education Partnership has distributed more than $17 million in school and classroom supplies to 365 schools since it began. It has reached almost 200,000 students.

Brown will become what the organization calls a “full-time ambassador” and expand The Education Partnership’s reach.

Whiteside joins The Education Partnership from his role as co-director of Pittsburgh nonprofit Beverly’s Birthdays that serves about 20,000 children.
