Remake Learning Day: Fasteners and Stitches by Design!

Date of Event: Saturday, May 14, 2022
Open House Timeframe: 10 am to 3 pm
Location: The Education Partnership, STEAM Maker Space
281 Corliss Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220

TEP Teachers join us at this hands-on Maker event, where we will create and design using various sewing, cutting, and fastening techniques. We will repurpose common and unusual materials to make some fantastic items in your classroom. All skill levels are welcome, and there will be plenty to learn at this make-and-take event. Hand tools, sewing machines, lamination cutters, and even the 3D printer will be accessible to explore. Everyone will have an opportunity to build from the examples provided, or we can work on customizing to your needs. We will have plenty of materials to select and work with. Register for this open-house workshop for TEP teachers and guests, and see you there.

The event will include:
– Multiple hands-on Maker project areas to explore
– Creative design approaches and takeaways to bring back to your classroom
– Collaboration with STEAM Program Coordinator on customizing a project solution
– Network with other STEAM Maker Learning teachers

RSVP in advance is encouraged. Drop-ins are also welcome on the day of the event.
